When
Call for Abstract Submissions!
Dr. Martha P.L. Whitaker will be co-convening a session at the American Geophysical Union's 2025 Annual Meeting titled "Bridging learning and research: self-reflections and best practices from students and faculty in earth science undergraduate research programs, including Vertically-Integrated Projects (VIPs) and Course-based Undergraduate Research Experiences (CUREs). This event will take place in New Orleans, LA, December 15-19, 2025.
This poster session offers undergraduates, including those from VIPs and CUREs, the opportunity to present their findings, and offers faculty an opportunity to learn about successful VIPs and CUREs. The VIP and CURE programs that promote undergraduate research, and the resultant undergraduate research projects showcased in this poster session, underscore “Where Science Connects Us.”
Abstract submissions are encouraged from both students and faculty who wish to share their research results, best practices, and experiences as participants in or leaders of authentic research experiences involving undergraduate students.
