Explore the dramatic landscapes of Namibia, from the towering dunes of the Namib Desert to the vast savannas teeming with wildlife. Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of its diverse people, and gain firsthand experience in the challenges and triumphs of conservation in Africa.
Learn the principles of conservation science and apply them to real-world challenges facing Namibia's unique ecosystems. Explore the adaptations of plants and animals to this extreme environment, and discover the secrets of survival in one of the oldest deserts on Earth. Study the dynamics of these iconic grasslands, including the interactions between herbivores, carnivores, and the environment. Encounter and study Africa's iconic megafauna, including elephants, lions, rhinos, and giraffes, and learn about the efforts to protect them. Engage with local indigenous tribes, learning about their traditional knowledge of the environment and their role in conservation efforts. Investigate the complex issue of human-wildlife conflict and explore innovative solutions for coexistence.
