Not sure how to obtain undergraduate STEM research experience? Join WISE for their professional development panel!
The Women in Science & Engineering (WISE) program is hosting a free, professional development panel that will provide guidance and advice on how to be involved in undergraduate STEM research at the University of Arizona open to any student. Undergraduate research experience has increasingly became an important asset for students that are planning to enter the job market or to apply to graduate school after graduation.
This panel will join graduate students, undergraduate research ambassadors, and UA researchers to discuss strategies for gaining research experience while attending the University of Arizona. Participants will be able to learn about the available research and applications resources as well as hear from hiring administrators about qualities that they seek for in potential job candidates.
This panel is the first in a year-long series of professional development events that are convened as apart of WISE's Women in Stem Mentorship program. Light refreshments will also be provided for all participants.
Interested in attending? The event will be hosted on Thursday, October 19th, 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM AZ Time in ENR2 BLG, Room S210.
