My work utilizes a variety of research approaches and methods (ranging from quantitative analyses of insurance claims data to qualitative and community-based methods) to improve access to primary and preventive care, including reducing disparities in cancer screening for underserved communities. The most important skill would be for a student to be a highly motivated and curious learner seeking additional research mentorship on an independent project.
