What began as a last-minute application became a transformative undergraduate research experience for Illiana Samorano. Through a five-year partnership between Earth Grant and the Ramírez-Andreotta Lab, students gain hands-on experience in community-centered environmental research and receive support from faculty, graduate students, and staff as they prepare for careers in science and sustainability.
