Are you an upcoming junior? Want to spend your summer building real scientific skills, visiting a national lab, and presenting your own research at a symposium?
Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, is now accepting students for this upcoming summer! Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) participants engage in full-time research for 9 weeks during the summer (mid-June through mid-August). They also attend regular group meetings that provide opportunities to share their progress and gain a broad overview of a range of scientific projects. Additional activities include special lectures, a field trip to Argonne National Laboratory, an individual writing workshop, and a public speaking seminar.
At the end of the summer, each student completes a substantive research paper and presents their research accomplishments at a closing symposium.
