IMOD Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REUs) - Application Deadline

Want a fully-paid summer research experience? Interested in STEM-related research?

The IMOD REU are welcoming applicants to apply from November 1st, 2024 to January 31st, 2024!

The NSF Center for Integration of Modern Optoelectronic Materials on Demand (IMOD) is dedicated to transforming conventional and quantum optoelectronics through the development of atomically-precise semiconductor materials and additive manufacturing processes. The IMOD REU is a summer research program that provides opportunities for undergraduates to engage in authentic research across a broad range of disciplines, including chemistry, physics, materials sciences, material sciences & engineering, and electrical & computer engineering. Participants within the IMOD REU will advance the synthesis of highly precise materials and the integration of different materials into optoelectronic devices & systems. In this 9-to-10 week immersive research project in an IMOD-sponsored lab, participants will learn skills in optoelectronic research, engage in professional development, and participant in local and national-wide research presentations.

The IMOD REU will run from June 15th - August 15th on the University of Washington (UW) campus. For Non-UW sites, the IMOD REU will run from May - August.

What are the benefits?
