2023 Undergraduate Student-Initiated Original Research Program - Application Details
Are you a student passionate about their own research project? Are you interested in having your research funded?
RII has granted $15,000 per year for the next 5 years for undergraduates at the University of Arizona to pursue their own research questions with faculty mentors of their choice. 10-15 awardees per year will be competitively selected by a cross-campus multidisciplinary committee to receive $1,000-$1,500 each to be used for stipend/salary, travel, supplies, equipment and other costs.
This award may also be supplemented by additional funds if promising progress is made. An annual Student Forum will be held in the Spring of each year to report progress, and awardees will be expected to join a larger Questioning community in a campuswide "Questionarium" setting.
The deadline is September 25, 2023, for Year 1 and in January of each subsequent year.
