Are you planning on participating in a summer research program?  Interested in getting involved in Undergraduate research?  

Consider attending the Professionalism in the Lab Workshop!

Choose from one of three dates:

  1. Saturday, September 14, 9:30am-2pm
  2. Sunday, September 15, 11am-3:30pm
  3. Saturday, September 21, 9:30am-2pm

30 minute break included, and food will be provided!

Details:

This workshop will equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to thrive in a laboratory setting as an undergraduate researcher.  PLUS, there will be an option to stay for an additional hour to learn about Faculty-Student contracts!

 

This workshop will cover:

  • Lab notebook record keeping
  • Research ethics and honesty
  • Conflict resolution
  • Mutual expectation contracts
  • Research experience expectations
  • Laboratory chain of command
  • and more!
