Michael Gilbert
Lecturer, Mathematics
I graduated from Colorado State University - Pueblo in 2007 with Bachelor's degrees in mathematics and physics. From there, I came to the University of Arizona to pursue a PhD in mathematics. During my time as a graduate student, in addition to pure mathematics, I studied theoretical physics, and I taught numerous undergraduate math courses. I became very interested in math education and decided to pursue a career in math education. In 2013, I finished my PhD at the University of Arizona, and in the Fall of 2014 I was hired on at the U of A as a mathematics instructor. I held that position until 2019 when I took on the position of Lecturer of Mathematics.
