Dr. Lee is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Arizona and affiliated with the Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science. I currently serve on the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Body and Imaging Center at the University of Arizona. I am also a faculty member of the BIO5 Institute, the UA Cancer Center, and the Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing. Additionally, I serve as an adjunct professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Before working at the University of Arizona, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at MGH/Harvard Medical School, where I was a member of the Center for Machine Learning at Martinos. I completed my Ph.D. in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. During my doctoral studies, I engaged in a research internship at the U.S. DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory and collaborated on interdisciplinary research with Children's National Hospital.

Research Interest
My research group aims to develop lightweight, multimodal, and interpretable AI systems for visual perception in healthcare and autonomous systems. We actively foster interdisciplinary collaboration within the field of computer vision and medical imaging.
