Associate Astronomer and Research Professor working on computational astrophysics and AI. Faculty member of Data Science and Applied Mathematics. Leader at the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) Collaboration and architect of its computational and data processing infrastructures, which led to the first ever images of black holes. Worked on algorithms to improve and accelerate science, applied AI to automate data processing and discovery, and mentored researchers. Completed the transamerica bike trail and is an avid hiker.
