Interested in a career in public health and health sciences research? Want summer research?

The Summer Research Enhancement Program (SREP) is a 10-week summer program designed to prepare Native Americans undergraduate college students for careers in public health and other health sciences by utilizing community-based participatory research.

The programs contains three stages:

  • Stage 1: Intensive three-week training in Public Health Research in Methods at Dine College, Tsaile, AZ - Main Campus.
  • Stage 2: Six-week mentored internship in student's home community conducting research.
  • Stage 3: One-week data analysis workshop and presentation back at the Dine College, Tsaile, AZ - Main Campus.

What are the benefits?

  • Summer Stipend: $5,760 stipend that will be disbursed in installments throughout the program (aprox. $576/week)
  • College Credits: 7 transferable college credits in Public Health (4 classroom and 3 practicum)
  • Supplies: Receive tuition, books, and materials required for the Public Health courses during SREP
  • Housing: Room & Board provided at the Dine College, Tsaile AZ
