Summer chemistry and biochemistry research program funded by NSF

Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah is accepting applications for their summer chemistry and biochemistry research program funded by the National Science Foundation (REU program, (https://reu.chem.byu.edu/). The program is designed for Mountain West and Southwest students from two-year and four-year colleges/universities. The overall purpose of this program is to help students complete their undergraduate degree in STEM and then go onto a STEM job or STEM graduate school. They would like to have a STEM student from The University of Arizona join us this upcoming 2019 summer (May-July).
- Applicants can be from any physical or life science field of study.
- Students are paid $5,000, given free housing, and spend 10 weeks in a chemistry or biochemistry lab of their choice.
- Students can will also be taken on outings for hiking, camping, and rafting.
- After the program they will also pay for students' trip to an American Chemical Society National Meeting.
