Undergraduate Research Ambassador
Mariam is from Tucson, AZ and is a junior in the University of Arizona Franke honors program and is double majoring in Physiology & Medical sciences and Public Health. She also has a minor in Leadership Studies and Practice. On campus, some of her involvements include: the honorary system, the Arizona Ambassadors organization where she is a campus tour guide, the Blue Chip Leadership Program, the Co-Ed medical fraternity of Phi Delta Epsilon, Wildcat Events Board (WEB), and a peer mentor and an ambassador for the Physiology department. She first got into research as a high school student through the Bio5 KEYS research program. At the program, she fell in love with research and has continued to explore her interests since then. Some of her hobbies include hiking, painting, and running. In her free time she likes to try the local restaurants of Tucson and spend time with her friends and family.
