Getting involved in research can be the most rewarding and influential experience of your undergraduate career. There are several ways for you to participate in undergraduate research. Some of these options include volunteering, enrolling in independent research courses for academic credit, working for pay through faculty or departamental funding, and participating in internships and competitive undergraduate research programs.
Students can also earn Engaged Learning Experience through certain for-credit or non-credit activities. To see a list of upper division courses with the Engaged Learning attributes, click on the appropriate link at the bottom of the Office of Student Engagement website: http://ose.arizona.edu/students.
Each academic department regulates their undergraduate research affairs and has in place different procedures as to how to participate in them. For a list of these links, visit our UA Research Sites page.
