2018 Undergraduate Research Week April 9th - 13th

April 9th - 13th is National Undergraduate Research Week. We will be celebrating all week with workshops and tours to help you learn more about research and how to get involved.


Below is a list of all our scheduled events followed by a brief description of what each event is about.


You can RSVP for all workshops and tours through Handshake. All workshops will be held in the Office of Student Engagement (Suite 248 in the Student Union). The tours will take place at the designated facilities (see RSVP links for details).

The Getting Started in Research Workshops will help you to: identify your research interests, find research opportunities, and develop strategies for contacting faculty.

The Science Communication Workshops will go over some basic principles of communication, help you think about the different mediums of communication, and provide an opportunity for you to start developing your elevator pitch.

The Marley Light Microscopy Core Facility Tour will provide a behind the scenes look at some of the advanced imaging equipment that supports researchers across campus and disciplines.

The Functional Genomics Core Facility Tour will let you see firsthand some of the advanced equipment and processes which support researchers exploring interactions with compounds and genes.
